Yard Waste Drop-Off: Residency Proof and Daily Limit
Yard waste—also called green or vegetative waste by the City—is accepted at the Convenience Collection Center without a disposal fee when the customer meets the City’s verification requirements.
Current load limit
The City lists one yard-waste load per day up to 120 cubic feet. The volume is calculated from load length × height × width.
Required proof
Bring a City of Stillwater utility bill issued within the previous three months and identification. The last name or address on the ID must match the bill’s last name or service address.
Limbs taken to the facility must be less than 8 feet long. Keep vegetative material separate from household trash and excluded construction debris.

Latex Paint, Oil-Based Paint and Household Chemicals
Paint type is important because Stillwater changed its normal latex-paint policy in 2026. The Convenience Collection Center should not be treated as a year-round household hazardous-waste facility.
Liquid latex paint
Not accepted at the center as of May 1, 2026. The City instructs customers to dry latex paint completely before placing it into the trash cart.
Oil-based paint and hazardous chemicals

Glass Recycling Is Separate From Stillwater’s Yellow-Lid Cart
Glass products do not go into Stillwater’s normal single-stream recycling cart. City-limit customers can request a separate City-issued glass recycling tote.
The glass tote is collected on the customer’s first regular collection day of each month, including holidays. The tote must weigh less than 25 pounds, be set out by 6:00 AM and be positioned at least five feet from carts and other obstacles.

Single-stream recyclables should be placed loose in the cart. Carts should be curbside by 6:00 AM and kept at least five feet from vehicles, mailboxes, utility poles and other carts.

The Convenience Collection Center also accepts household garbage under its fee schedule. A 35-gallon garbage bag is currently listed at $2.
